About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented US Tax Preparer with expertise in US federal and multi-state income and sales tax compliance. In this role, you will work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate filings, maintain compliance obligations, and support timely tax reporting across a portfolio of multi-state entities.
This role offers a clear growth pathway. Through structured exposure to leadership and hands-on involvement across a diverse US entity portfolio, the successful candidate will progressively develop deeper tax advisory and strategic planning capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review US federal income tax returns for WebLife and its portfolio of e-commerce businesses, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Manage multi-state income, franchise, and sales and use tax filings, including nexus tracking and economic nexus threshold monitoring for remote sellers
- Conduct tax research and analysis to identify compliance risks and flag opportunities for tax savings for the senior advisor to evaluate
- Collaborate with the finance team to integrate tax considerations into financial planning and reporting
- Maintain the compliance calendar across all entities to ensure no filing deadlines are missed
- Stay updated on changes in US federal and state tax laws and regulations to ensure timely compliance
- Provide support during tax audits and liaise with tax authorities as needed
- Develop and maintain documentation for tax filings, positions, policies, and procedures
- Assist with state-level tax compliance as needed, with a focus on California where applicable
Requirements
- Enrolled Agent (EA) designation strongly preferred; CPA or equivalent qualification with active US tax practice will also be considered
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in US federal income tax preparation and compliance
- Prior experience working with US clients — within a US CPA firm’s offshore team, Big 4 tax advisory practice, or similar cross-border arrangement
- Solid understanding of US federal tax laws, regulations, and filing requirements
- Proficiency in tax preparation and accounting software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Experience with California state income tax is a plus but not mandatory

- AI-driven, innovation-focused projects
- A culture that encourages curiosity and lifelong learning
- Clear career paths and personal development opportunities
- A flexible, work-from-home setup as part of a globally connected team
