About Us

WebLife is a multi-venture holding company that builds and operates multiple businesses simultaneously. Founded in 2008, with over 16 years of operational excellence and $250 million in all-time revenue, we have evolved from an e-commerce leader into a portfolio of AI-focused ventures spanning e-commerce, SaaS, education, and recruitment.
What sets us apart is our operational foundation — disciplined operations, data-driven decision-making, and deep AI integration across everything we do.
Backed by WebLife's long-term stability and operational maturity, we operate with the speed and ownership mindset of a product-first startup — tight feedback loops, high accountability, and an expectation that every hire meaningfully influences strategy, execution, and how our ventures evolve over time. Combining the strength of a proven e-commerce business with the agility of an innovation hub, we offer a collaborative, growth-focused environment where your ideas matter and your career can thrive.

The Opportunity

We are hiring an AI Automation Engineer to design, build, and deploy agentic systems that automate real business workflows across eCommerce operations. This is a hands-on builder role. You will ship agents that handle customer support tickets, process CRM data, automate order workflows, and build intelligence systems that identify and act on commercial opportunities. You own the full lifecycle: scoping the problem, building the solution, testing in production, and iterating based on results.
This role sits within an engineering structure led by our Senior Engineer and works embedded with the Digital Product team. You will build agents that answer tickets, draft emails, classify orders, surface commercial opportunities, and reduce manual work across a live e-commerce business.

Responsibilities

  1. Agent Development & Deployment — Build LLM-powered agents (Claude, OpenAI) into production with validation, retry logic, and quality monitoring. Primary platforms: Zoho Desk, Zoho CRM.
  2. Workflow Automation — Event-driven pipelines triggered by tickets, orders, CRM events. Automates support, catalog management, and order processing.
  3. Knowledge & Context Systems — RAG pipelines, knowledge bases (product catalogs, support docs), and prompt architectures for reliable downstream outputs.
  4. Integration & Interoperability — MCP, function calling, REST APIs connecting Zoho Desk, Zoho CRM, BigQuery, and LLM providers. Fault-tolerant with logging and retry.
  5. Data Intelligence & Decision Automation — Agents that monitor data sources, score and route items, and generate structured documents from templates.

Requirements

  • 3+ years software/automation/DevOps; 1+ year LLMs in production
  • Must have shipped production systems, not just prototypes
  • CRM/workflow integration experience (not just standalone model work)
  • International team experience (US/UK/AU preferred)
  • Core stack: Python, Claude/OpenAI APIs, n8n/Zapier/Make, Zoho Desk/CRM, BigQuery, vector DBs (Pinecone/Chroma/pgvector), MCP/LangChain/LangGraph, Git, AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code)

What Sets Strong Candidates Apart — Built a real-world agent, understands production vs. demo tradeoffs, has opinions on prompt architecture, ships fast, and makes deliberate decisions about when agents should act versus escalate.

Why Join Us?

  • Competitive salary paid in USD
  • Fully remote position
  • Direct exposure to production AI agent systems at commercial scale
  • Work alongside a CTO-track engineering leader and a Digital Product team shipping real products
  • Opportunity to define how AI transforms a $250M+ e-commerce operation
  • Professional development in a company that treats AI deployment as its core scaling strategy
