At WebLife, we're seeking a Learning Experience & Content Specialist to revolutionize how we develop and deliver learning solutions across our global operations. As a 16-year pioneering force in e-commerce and the largest distributor of mailboxes across the U.S. with over $250M in all-time revenue, we need a creative instructional designer who can transform complex business knowledge into engaging, effective learning experiences. This role combines educational expertise with digital innovation, operating in our flexible work-from-home environment while supporting our global learning initiatives from our WebLife Labs division in Sri Lanka.
Key Responsibilities
Learning Experience Design & Development
- Apply instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM, Design Thinking) to develop engaging, effective learning solutions
- Create learner personas and journey maps to inform content strategy and user experience
- Build prototypes, wireframes, and storyboards to visualise learning experiences
- Integrate learning science principles to support retention and skill transfer
Instructional Content Creation
- Develop digital learning assets including eLearning modules, assessments, and performance support tools
- Write scripts and detailed storyboards for multimedia content (video, audio, animation, interactivity)
- Collaborate with multimedia and technical teams to produce high-quality digital content
- Ensure all content is inclusive, accessible, and optimised for diverse learning styles and platforms
Evaluation & Optimisation
- Conduct learner needs assessments and define measurable learning outcomes
- Conduct formative and summative evaluations of learning solutions
- Use data and learning analytics to monitor performance and drive continuous improvement
- A/B test content variations to enhance engagement and learning outcomes
- Stay current with trends in learning technology, adult learning theory, and instructional design best practices
Stakeholder Collaboration & Implementation
- Partner with subject matter experts to capture and structure domain knowledge
- Work cross-functionally with teams to implement seamless digital learning interfaces
- Support rollout, adoption, and change management for learning solutions across the organisation
- Facilitate design workshops and feedback sessions to align stakeholders and refine solutions
Requirements
- 2–4 years' experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or digital learning experience design
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Psychology, or a related field
- Proficiency with authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, or Adobe Captivate
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital learning platforms
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and project coordination experience
- Familiarity with learning analytics and evaluation methodologies
