At WebLife, we're seeking a Instructional Designer - EdTech to create and optimize educational technology programs for our growing learning platform. As a 16-year e-commerce leader with over $250M in revenue, we need an instructional design specialist who can develop comprehensive courses across AI, automation, and emerging technologies. This role focuses on course development, learner engagement optimization, and performance analytics, operating remotely from our WebLife Labs division in Sri Lanka.
Key Responsibilities
eLearning Course Design & Development
- Develop comprehensive quarterly courses across AI, automation, and emerging technology topics for three skill levels: beginner, intermediate, and advanced professionals
- Produce multimedia learning content including video tutorials, interactive modules, and downloadable resources following accessibility standards
- Create scalable learning pathways with clear objectives, hands-on projects, and competency-based assessments
- Develop industry-recognized certification tracks that validate practical technology skills and enhance career advancement
- Ensure accessibility standards compliance and support diverse learning styles through multimedia content
- Partner with industry experts and subject matter specialists to ensure curriculum accuracy, relevance, and practical application
Course Optimization & Analytics
- Implement interactive learning elements including coding challenges, peer collaboration, and progress tracking dashboards
- Maintain high course completion rates and learner satisfaction through continuous content optimization and A/B testing
- Deploy engagement strategies including gamification, milestone rewards, and personalized learning paths based on individual progress
- Utilize analytics platforms (Mixpanel, Google Analytics, LMS dashboards) to track learner progress and course effectiveness
- Monitor learner analytics to identify at-risk students and implement intervention strategies
- Provide regular reports on curriculum performance, completion rates, and subscription metrics
- Make data-driven curriculum adjustments to improve learning outcomes and time-to-competency
Requirements
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or related field. Master's degree will be an added advantage.
- Experience: 3-5 years in curriculum development, educational technology, or learning program management (EdTech or online learning platform experience preferred). International experience with US/UK/Australian educational markets is highly valued
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS) and course authoring tools
- Experience with educational analytics platforms and A/B testing methodologies
- Knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theories
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design practices
