About the Role
We're seeking an experienced eCommerce Catalog Specialist to lead and optimize our product catalogues across multiple online stores serving U.S. and international markets.
This role combines strategic leadership with deep analytical expertise to enhance product presentation, drive customer engagement, and maximize revenue growth.
You’ll oversee the backbone of our eCommerce operations—managing a team while implementing scalable processes that ensure excellence in catalogue management and customer experience. This position requires a visionary professional who thrives on organization, data-driven decision-making, and delivering measurable results in a global eCommerce environment.
Key Responsibilities
Catalogue Operations Management
- Oversee end-to-end management of product catalogues across multiple eCommerce platforms, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and optimisation.
- Conduct regular audits and enforce quality control measures to maintain the highest standards of catalogue integrity.
- Manage product categorisation, attributes, and taxonomy to enhance discoverability and conversion.
Strategic Project Management
- Drive cross-functional projects including new product launches, vendor onboarding, and landing page optimisation.
- Collaborate with U.S.-based stakeholders and global teams to align product information with business and promotional goals.
- Develop and maintain SOPs, playbooks, and documentation to support scalable operations.
- Oversee project timelines, deliverables, and resources to ensure timely, high-quality execution.
E-Commerce Optimisation & Innovation
- Implement best practices for product presentation, digital merchandising, and data-driven decision-making to elevate customer experience.
- Leverage analytics to identify and act on opportunities for improved discoverability and conversion.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor strategies to inform catalogue enhancement initiatives.
- Partner with marketing, sales, and IT teams to align product data with campaigns and business objectives.
Process & Systems Management
- Build and refine scalable catalogue management processes using platforms like ClickUp, Coda, and PIM systems.
- Develop automated workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Ensure seamless integration between catalogue systems and eCommerce platforms.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for all catalogue and process management activities.
Requirements
Experience & Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in eCommerce catalogue or product data management.
- Demonstrated experience working with U.S., U.K., European, or Australian eCommerce markets.
- Proven track record in managing complex, cross-functional projects in fast-paced environments.
Technical Expertise
- Expert-level proficiency in Magento, Shopify, or WooCommerce.
- Advanced experience with Product Information Management (PIM) systems.
- Strong proficiency in project management tools (ClickUp, Asana, Trello, or similar).
- Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
- Experience using data analytics tools for performance measurement.
- Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Zoho).
- Understanding of SEO principles and how product data impacts search performance.
- Experience with agile/sprint-based methodologies.
- Awareness of UI/UX principles for product page optimisation.
- Exposure to AI tools and automation technologies in eCommerce.
