About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Content Manager to join our Marketing team and serve as the editorial cornerstone of our content strategy. This role will own narrative direction and brand voice across all digital channels, working closely with cross-functional teams to develop compelling content that reinforces our position as leaders in e-commerce innovation. You'll help drive our mission of empowering global excellence by creating content that showcases our deep understanding of e-commerce operations and 16 years of industry expertise.
Key Responsibilities
Content Strategy & Editorial Leadership
- Own all written content and narrative structure across multiple channels (social media, email campaigns, website copy, blog content, video scripts)
- Develop comprehensive content frameworks that align with WebLife's core values of Extreme Ownership, Growth Mindset, Unyielding Drive, and Excellence Uncompromised
- Create messaging strategies that highlight our role as the bridge between local Sri Lankan expertise and global e-commerce excellence
- Ensure brand voice consistency while adapting content for different audience segments and international markets
E-commerce Content Development
- Craft compelling product descriptions, category content, and promotional materials that drive conversions
- Develop content strategies for seasonal campaigns and product launches
- Create educational content that demonstrates our deep e-commerce expertise and industry leadership
- Write scripts and creative briefs for video content showcasing customer success stories and operational excellence
Cross-Channel Campaign Management
- Collaborate with Marketing and Social Media teams to coordinate content publishing schedules
- Align all content with marketing calendar objectives and business goals
- Manage content production workflows to ensure timely delivery across all channels
- Review and optimize AI-generated content to maintain quality standards and brand consistency
Brand Storytelling & Positioning
- Develop compelling narratives that showcase WebLife's 16-year journey and $250M+ success story
- Create content that positions WebLife Labs as the strategic enabler for operational excellence
- Craft stories highlighting our role in bridging Sri Lankan talent with global e-commerce leadership
- Develop case studies and success stories that demonstrate measurable business impact
Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in content marketing, copywriting, or editorial management
- Proven track record creating content for B2B and B2C audiences in digital commerce or technology sectors
- Strong understanding of e-commerce marketing principles and customer journey optimization
- Experience with international markets, particularly US, UK, or Australian business contexts preferred
